WHAT WE THINK!

The MTV VMAs are an alternative to the Grammys and are also described as 'Oscars for the youth' where an astronaut statuette is given to winners of those judged with the best videos in different categories. In recent years, the VMAs have received widespread press for such things as Lady Gaga's meat dress, Kayne West interrupting Taylor Swift's winner's speech and Russell Brand's host jokes, including mocking The Jonas Brothers for wearing purity rings.
