WHAT WE THINK!
Strictly Come Dancing pairs celebrities with professional dancers to compete on the dancefloor in weekly shows, with each getting voted out in the traditional reality TV show formula. Going up against X Factor, and loses, but puts up a brave effort because at least they try to dance a bit.
Strictly winners since the show's start in 2004 are Natasha Kaplinsky, Jill Halfpenny, Darren Gough, Mark Ramprakash, Alesha Dixon, Tom Chambers, Chris Hollins, Kara Tointon.
Well known previous contestants are John Seargant and Anne Widdecome, mainly because they were rubbish and had their professional dancer carry their performances from week to week
Strictly Come Dancing is never short of a bit of controversy, including when judge Arlene Philips was replaced with previous winner Alesha Dixon due to her being to old. Also dancer Antoine DuBeke was a bit racist towards Lailla Rouass and everyone defended Tony Beke for some reason.
The newest series of Strictly is due to start any time soon, with lots of speculation about who will be contestants for this year.
