Britain's Got Talent 2012 judges announced: Simon Cowell returns with new pal Walliams

Anyone hoping for Stephen Hawking as head judge will be………..DISAPPOINTED…. as creator of the wheel Simon Cowell returns in the new series, replacing previous judge David Hasselhoff after the chisel-headed talking car enthusiast used his position to seduce a Welsh factory worker.

On the other hand, anyone hoping that Alesha Dixon would move over to the series from Strictly Come Ice Climbing will be…….. APPOINTED….. as the singer/dancer/whatever grudgingly took a significant pay hike in order to judge some of the UK's most unstable exhibitionists.

Strictly Come Dancing launch night: who will be forever changed by the magic of dance?

However, this season could be different. Theoretically the target for Strictly Come Dancing 2011's gut-shrinking dance laser should be Russell Grant. He's certainly got folds in all the wrong places and a career that needs a solid kick in the bollocks, but he seems a little too nice and a little too old to be eligible for the usual Strictly treatment.

This is all very well and that, but the problem with Blackpool is that despite being PRd as the 'Vegas of England' or whatever, it's still a complete shithole full to the brim with stag nights, fighting women, chip grease and tampons in the sea.

Apt then, that Olly Murs managed to bob along to sing his new single along with Alesha Dixon, Gabriella Climi and The Wanted.

I understand that Robbie wants to get his grassroots fans back and show them that LA hasn't changed him, he still eats whelks and cheap crisps etc, but this was a bit fucking painful lad.

He must have been the 'turn' surely? Look at him? Just LOOK AT HIM! Put that fucking hammer away, you're 54 years old.

Other celebs there were Ronan Keating and his wife, or as I like to call them 'Snoozy Boring and his Boring wife', Ashley and Cheryl Cole (looking really happy to be there), Fearne Rotten, Chris Moyles and of course the seminal, legendary genre-shifting Andi Peters.

The only notable exceptions were Mark Owen, Jason Orange and erm, Gary Barlow and his wife.
