After playing Jason Cunliffe in Hollyoaks, cage fighter Alex Reid must have thought he had reached the summit of fame and fortune. Then he ended up dipping his wick into a newly seperated Katie Price aka Jordan and quickly became the paparazzi darling of 2009. This didn't change when it was revealed he was a cross-dresser who called himself 'Roxanne'.

Katie Price then dumped him on live television after walking off the reality show I'm a Celebrity 2009. Everyone found this very funny indeed. Except Alex, who insisted he hadn't flown over to propose to her after all.

He was the third person to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house after beating up fellow contestant Dane Bowers after a New Years Eve argument.

Quite how all of this will affect his hard man status is unsure, although judging by his track record (previous 6 fights all lost) he won't be missed much.

Anyway, after an attempt at reconciliation Alex Reid and Katie Price have now decided to call it quits, if that in any way sounded like he had anything to do with it, we apologise, he of course didn't. Aaah.

There's nothing any of you can do to stop Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid appearing on TV now that they've been given their own reality show by an as-yet-unnamed channel. You voted with your mice and keyboards and phones and TV remotes when they appeared on This Morning. When we put up stories, you read them. Sure, we'll shoulder some of the blame, but the rest is down to you.
