Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards 2011: The red carpet arrivals and winners

The Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards seemed to largely be an X Factor-based event, which was pleasant for everyone since Simon Cowell had reportedly given them a large boot up the arse earlier in the day. Tulisa and Kelly are apparently friends again, which is nice, although maybe not so much for Alexandra Burke, who was also in attendance and probably now has nothing to ruin do this weekend.

Sugababes' Amelle Berrabah convicted of assault, threatened to bite victim's nose off

The girl in question - actually, we'll call her the victim instead just to make it seem more dramatic and Amelle seem like more of a bitch - is called Danielle Dodoo.

Danielle, the victim, was drinking in the VIP area of London's Alto club in an attempt to drown her sorrows at being named Danielle Dodoo by her heartless parents in the first place, when Amelle came along and got all up in her grill. Here's her side of the story:

Sleepy Eye: HM Pictures of the Day 31st August

It's a good job for Alexa Chung that she's associated with fashion and not haemorrhoids because she got to be an ambassador of ACP Magazine's '30 Days of Fashion and Beauty' in Sydney.

Comedians Martin Short, John Cleese and Russell Howard were also in Sydney as they were at the announcement for the first ever Just for Laughs comedy festival in the Sydney Opera House.

Loads of celebs and Matt Cardle turn up for Day One of Wireless Festival, pics galore!

We've blamed will.i.am for a lot of things recently - namely Cheryl's US career going down the pan. In fact, he was probably to blame for that fire in his hotel yesterday afternoon. However, if there's one thing above all that we blame him for, it is for making us loathe the Black Eyed Peas. Just look at them in their mirror-plated, in no way futuristic suits and stupid square sunglasses. They need to take a leaf out of Tinie Tempah's book. The single, coolest man in pop right now.

Premiere for JLS: Eyes Wide Open film, a Saturday, Sugababe and One Direction attend

As well as Marvin, Aston and those other two ones, the premiere brought out Diana Vickers, One Direction, Amelle Sugababe and Rochelle Saturday wearing a sparkly ring on her wotsit finger, which might means she's getting hitched to Marvin. Or maybe that she likes sparkly things.

Bad news for the Saturdays fan/s though, Rochelle revealed that the band are unlikely to be making their own feature length movie, saying:

British soup awards more like

The British Soap Awards 2011: well done, Hollyoaks - you did it!

Actually, to prove that the event was in no way biased despite being hosted by Granada, Eastenders got Best Soap, while Hollyoaks picked up Best Villian (Rob Hawthorn?) and Emmerdale got Special Achievement Award (for being able to produce a show that on one watches?). Special mention to Michele Collins for taking her Cindy Beale show from 'Stenders to Corrie! Also to Hear'Say for women for reinvention.

Here's the full winner's list. Something for everyone except for Doctors, obv.

Sugababe Amelle is banned from driving, claims poor people will mob her

She's also been fined £2000 for the offence, which apparently happened at 4am after an argument with her boyfriend Tom Benn. Worst of all the whole thing comes on the back of Berrabah's trip to rehab last year to be treated for 'severe nervous exhaustion', the very same thing we get after we try to drive home drunk at 4 in the morning, co-incidentally.

Sugababe Amelle Berrabah charged with drink driving, slow news day in full flow

Amelle, who has already done a stint in rehab in the past, was pulled over in her Mercedes while driving through Camden on Thursday morning. She was consequently arrested and is due to appear in front of Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on the 8th October having been charged with driving under the influence of excess alcohol.

The tabloids also report a precarious addition to the story about the 34th Sugababe having a bust-up with her partner, Tom Benn, only moments before the incident took place, with the ever-trusty Mr. A Source getting a front row view...

HM banned band members get upstaged at Marvin JLS's birthday party

It's baffling that while the girl on the right forgot to bring any clothes with her, she did remember her small dog (pic 3). Meanwhile, the girl on the left might have some better tattoos than Michelle Bombshell, Peaches Geldof and Jodie Marsh put together.

We stop Saturdays ban for the sake of bad denim

Frankie has obviously been hitting the fake tan bottle hard since she split with Dougie McFly but there's just no excusing that denim jumpsuit, which could almost be deemed as more offensive than a pair of dungarees. Other Saturday Una was also looking as though she was trapped in the early 90s and as for Amelle, well Mr. HM has never been a huge fan of high-waisted jeans.

The Saturdays ban to resume as normal.
