The female half of the Eurythmics, Annie Lennox hails from Aberdeen and has been called The Greatest White Soul Singer Alive, though this was before the invention of Just Jack. Eurythmics were massive in the 1980s with their properly ace icy pop songs and Annnie’s androgynous suits and wigs. Alas, she had to get rid of Dave Stewart one day (he admits now he was always a bit obsessed with her) so now she has a solo career and spends lots of time chumming about with do-gooders to try and make us all be more like Bono. Frankly we’d rather be Walking On Broken Glass.
