The week in fashion: HM style round-up, 27 January 2012

Facing the seemingly not actually that tough challenge of looking decent whilst surrounded by Parisians and $20,000 dresses, we have Cameron Diaz, Alice Dellal, Leigh Lezark, Bar Refaeli, Olivia Palermo, Diane Kruger as well as local girls Vanessa Paradis and Clemence Poesy.

Probably slightly tougher was the conundrum thrown up by the snowy Sundance Film Festival - how do you get away with hiding thermals under red carpet dresses? Kate Bosworth, Cara Delevingne, Kirsten Dunst, Emily Bunt and Lake Bell seemed to managed very well.

Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture SS 2012: Chanel catwalk

Despite the Pan Am colour palette and aviation theme, Lagerfeld abided by Project Runway's number one rule, telling reporters backstage (the hold?):

"I didn't want to make it too literal. If you look at what air hostesses really wore back in the '60s, it wasn't that great".

He added:

“I love the plane. There’s nothing I find more relaxing. Your neighbors are stuck to their screens, there are no phones—it’s blissfully peaceful.”

Poor old Diaz, you'd hope that if you were in the same room as Donatella Versace, you'd at least be the second most ridiculed person. That's what you get for daring to age though, sheesh.

What to Expect When You’re Expecting trailer: pregnancy, with hilarious consequences

Whilst we expect Cole's cameo is currently languishing on the cutting room floor, the trailer features Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks, Jennifer Lopez, Anna Kendricks, Brooklyn Decker, Dennis Quaid, Matthew Morrison, Chris Rock, Chace Crawford, Ben Falcone and Rebel Wilson, who you may recognise as Matt Lucas' sister in Bridesmaids. That's the most promising thing about the film we think. Watch the trailer and make your own mind up. If it seems to be a film about nothing, that's probably because it's based on a real life handbook.

A rub don't cost a thing: HM Pictures of the Day 24th August

To start, we have Hollywood legend Al Pacino sitting on a throne at the Scarface on Blu-Ray launch party Q&A session in Los Angeles, another Hollywood legend Tom Selleck is on location in New York shooting the TV series Blue Bloods. Another celebrity shooting on location was Jennifer Lopez is doing a dance routine that involved grabbing your boobs, or possibly rubbing your stomach, it's hard to tell from the picture.

Teen Choice Awards 2011: the red carpet and the winners list, all 50 of them

Twilight and Harry Potter obviously swept the board, with Robert Pattinson and his wonky La Roux wig in attendance, as well as his co-star Taylor Lautner, who officially has world's longest neck (which makes up for fellow cast mate Kellan Lutz who was there with no neck at all). At least they had a reason to turn up, but a lot of the people - Gordon Ramsey, for instance, you've just got to wonder why… Don't even get us started on the Kardashian klan. And Rachel Bilson, we like you, but what is it you actually do now?

Next is a picture of Bjork after she performed at the Manchester festival in Manchester, that's from Clare, 6, in lovely Truro. The next two pictures, Cameron Diaz promoting Bad Teacher in Spain and Liz Hurley at Goodwood are both from Robert who's 8, and Robert lives in Newcastle. Must be a bit cold this time of year isn't it Robert? Still, beautiful brushwork on Liz's legs. Very convincing.

Moldova forever! HM Pictures of the Day 21st June

First up we've got Kelly Brook looking pensive yet positive in a car park somewhere, James Franco at the LA film fest, Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz at the Bad Teacher premiere, Claudia Schiffer and Matthew Vaughn in London's Notting Hill, Lady Gaga dressed up as a boardmarker, Amanda Seyfried in an airport or something, Nick Grimshaw at a car boot sale and Una Healy trying to fend off a worryingly intense looking fan who's seemingly wearing a 'Moldova Forever' t-shirt.

Joining the not-particularly-famous four are chubby dwarf-lookalike Cee Lo Green, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, a shot down Amanda Holden's top (kind of), Matthew McNaughty almost managing to wear a cowboy hat without looking like a giant cunthanger and finally James 'Heart Of Gold' Argent with halfwit Mark Wright's most recent fanny cast-off, Lauren Goodger.
