Still, the old hopeless curmudgeon act isn’t fooling anybody since everything he does turns to gold - his TV show Screenwipe is hugely loved, as was his zombie show Dead Set, as is his weekly column in the Guardian newspaper. In which he broadcasts to the nation how hopeless he is as living as a functional adult, how much he loathes many aspects of humanity and human existence, and how much he would like somebody to be his wife... ...A role now filled by Konnie Huq, an unusual choice for sure, and one that has certainly left many of his fans asking whether anything he said about hating humanities weaknesses was genuine, given the circumstances. Still, he seems happy, so we're happy too. Everyone's happy.
