American R’nB singer with hits such as “Yo! Excuse Me Miss” and “Forever”, though forever is about how long it might take Miss to excuse him, since he got arrested for assaulting a woman thought to be his girlfriend Rihanna. 

In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault of singer Rihanna, and was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community service.

Brown grew up in a small town in Virginia, where he started singing in the church choir aged two and where he says he was scarred by the domestic violence his mother suffered at the hands of her boyfriend.
