Colin Firth’s real name is actually Mr Darcy, at least, that’s how most slavering British women see him, desperate to plunge their lips onto the peachy cheeks of the handsome man who played Elizabeth Bennett’s intended in Pride and Prejudice and who got all wet and blustery in that lake. He also played a lawyer called, confusingly, Mark Darcy, who was the boyfriend of Bridget Jones, who was obsessed with Pride and Prejudice. Oh it’s all very meta.
