Frontwoman of grunge band Hole, Courtney Love became really famous after she married Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain and had his child, Frances Bean. Unfortunately he went on to shoot himself in the head, literally, while she went on to shoot herself in the foot, metaphorically. Courtney Love released several great records such as Celebrity Skin and Live Through This and acted brilliant in a film called The People Vs Larry Flynnt. But she also dug too deep into the idea of LA, had a lot of plastic surgery and went a bit bonkers - if you want to hear the sound of a longlost mind talking to itself through a haze of prescription drugs and persecution complexes, you only have to turn to her Twitter page. Rolling Stone once called Courtney Love “the most controversial woman in the history of rock”. But let’s face it - they hadn’t met Natasha Bedingfield yet.
