16-year-old Vickers was known as a 'little hippy' during her time as a competitor in 2008's series of the X Factor due to her bare feet, flowing clothes and unusual singing style. She was, however, conventional enough to reach the semi-finals and for a short time had viewers enthralled at a budding romance with fellow contestant Eoghan Quigg. The doll-faced Lancashire girl has now been signed to RCA records and an album is awaited although it is dubious whether her short stint of fame from the telly will translate into record sales or a lasting career.
