Rooney's pretty much owned the week - and we think she deserves it after having to spend much of the year either naked or looking angry in combats. But just because the actress has softened her style now, it doesn't mean she's chucked Lisbeth to the curb entirely - she recently admitted that literary heroine gave her a taste for androgyny, which definitely shows. Probably just as well since she has another two sequels left to film... Too bad for her real life sister Kate Mara who looked more like The Girl With The Bad Dress at the New York prem.

New Year's Eve premiere: Ashton Kutcher laughs in Lea Michele's mouth

Luckily, direction and script really don't matter for this kind of film, so long as there's someone running along a snow covered street, some kind of transport or power issue and a dog dressed up in a weird outfit.

So anyway, at last night's premiere we had Corey Monteith, Michelle Pfeiffer, Fergie, Zac Efron, Josh Duhamel, Sofia Vergara, Lea Michele, Ashton Kutcher, Hilary Swank, Katherine Heigl, Mark Salling, Christine Lakin, Chris Colfer and Abigail Breslin.

Still, Ashton Kutcher looks pleased with himself, doesn't he? Wonder why.

Bee-yonce, geddit?

Round two of Heidi Klum Halloween, plus Beyonce as a bee and Kyle MacLachlan as a carrot

Generally New York fared much better than the west coast over the weekend (Paris Hilton as She-Ra - yuk), although Miranda Kerr's party, which she foolishly scheduled to run consecutively alongside Klum's, looked a bit flat, with the supermodel as circus ring leader (with an empty big top). Meanwhile, Beyonce looked cute as a bee at another bash in the city, although Klum's guests did the best. She wouldn't have let them in otherwise.

Lady Gaga gives Bill Clinton a lap dance, sort of

People laughed, people cried, people scratched their heads and wondered what it was all about. Well, let us tell you, it was a gala to celebrate ten years of Bill Clinton's nonprofit company, which also coincided with the former president's 65 birthday. Nice one, Hillary, way to get out of organising a party.

Here's Gaga doing her equivalent to Marilyn's Happy Birthday Mr President, just to make Bill feel really confused. Don't worry, Bill, you're only as old as the person you feel. Gaga's mid-20s, right?

Petra Ecclestone has more lavish wedding than Kim Kardashian

The wedding, at the same castle that saw the 100% genuine Cruise-Holmes nuptials in 2006, is reported to have cost somewhere in the region of £5million. That might seem a lot to you, us and all the starving babies in the world, but Petra just spunked £85million on her new LA home so it’s all relative.

Petra’s wedding dress is reported to be worth around £130,000, so we can only assume it is made of cocaine and diamonds. Which is lucky, because we can’t think of anything heiresses love more (except maybe Daddy, obviously).

This week, we’ve got Blake Lively at the Teen Choice Awards looking more polished and elegant than she has in weeks, in a knee-length yellow leather from Gucci, while Cat Deeley melts into the background at the same event, in her turquoise, mesh sleeved Matthew Williamson number. Tyra Banks sported a pretty ugly PVC catsuit with very lacklustre hair.

Teen Choice Awards 2011: the red carpet and the winners list, all 50 of them

Twilight and Harry Potter obviously swept the board, with Robert Pattinson and his wonky La Roux wig in attendance, as well as his co-star Taylor Lautner, who officially has world's longest neck (which makes up for fellow cast mate Kellan Lutz who was there with no neck at all). At least they had a reason to turn up, but a lot of the people - Gordon Ramsey, for instance, you've just got to wonder why… Don't even get us started on the Kardashian klan. And Rachel Bilson, we like you, but what is it you actually do now?

Loads of celebs and Matt Cardle turn up for Day One of Wireless Festival, pics galore!

We've blamed will.i.am for a lot of things recently - namely Cheryl's US career going down the pan. In fact, he was probably to blame for that fire in his hotel yesterday afternoon. However, if there's one thing above all that we blame him for, it is for making us loathe the Black Eyed Peas. Just look at them in their mirror-plated, in no way futuristic suits and stupid square sunglasses. They need to take a leaf out of Tinie Tempah's book. The single, coolest man in pop right now.
