Trying to offer a comprehensive, clear reading of Sky Atlantic’s new sitcom – can we call it a cult comedy before anyone’s watched it? – is an almost entirely pointless exercise. The comedy, created by and starring Chris Bran and Justin Chubb, is not just off-the-wall, It’s down the back lane, past the newsagents and way beyond the ring road.  

If you were to judge the success of an event by the number of beaming smiles you saw amongst the attendees then the premiere of Shrek The Musical would be the most amazing triumph ever. Luckily, you don't. You hate celebrities when they're smiling. Their happiness is like raaaiiiinn on your wedding day, and a freeee riiiiiide when you've already paid. It's like a spoon when all you wanted was milk. It's like going to the police station when you meant to go to the hospital.
