"My life is brilliant, my love is pure," sang the rat-featured toff on his breakout hit You're Beautiful - instantly putting off as many people as he turned on. The song reached number one in the UK six weeks after its release in 2005 - selling 600,000 copies - and number one in the US and the Latin American Top 40. The massive airplay of You're Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover from album Back to Bedlam (which sold 11 million copies) soon resulted in saturation. Ok, so he did serve in the army is Kosovo but that doesn't mean we have to like him. Blunt now lives in Ibiza.

At first we really didn't like James Blunt. He seemed so pleased with himself. So very keen to tell us exactly how wonderful he was, how smart he was and how the gums on his upper jaw were so much more prominent than ours. Then we read how he liked to mess the press about by saying outlandish things on twitter, and of course we immediately fell in love with him after that. He really was everything he had proclaimed himself to be. Except, if anything, his gums were actually higher that he had led us to believe. Handsome and modest, can you believe it? Nope.   Dreamboat alert!!
