Anyone who can make a film about a man who has to cut off his own arm with a penknife watchable deserves an Oscar nomination at the very least. So well done, James Franco. Franco, who presented the 2011 Oscars, started out doing great things like the short lived Judd Apatow produced television show Freaks and Geeks. However when his career started to dip, he decided to go to university for a while. If only some other actors and actresses did this. Since then he has acted in some pretty pretentious self-indulgent crap but also really good films like Pineapple Express, Milk and 127 Hours. At the same time he is also studying for a PHD in English at Yale and recently published a book of short stories. Aside from his talents and intelligence he has also claimed he made a sex tape when he was younger, exciting the entire female population of the world.
