Having initially trailered their comeback film as if it were a sappy romcom, then releasing a series of posters as if they were characters in Twilight (WereRowlf, Vamphibian etc) the advert for the DVD release of The Muppets has been edited as if it were the much-hyped new sci-fi romp The Hunger Games. But it would be fair to say that the franchise looked to have run out of steam with The Muppets’ Wizard Of Oz TV movie and talk of reviving the original 1970s Muppet Show coming to nothing. But having been bought by Disney in 2004, a steady stream of on-point viral videos (including Beaker singing Ode To Joy and a rabbit-eating monster) hinted that Walt’s company had the wocka required to put blue weirdoes back on the big screen.   Comments: 1
