Beyonce goes to see Jay-Z at Carnegie Hall, looks fairly amazing

So, here are Beyonce and Jay-Z heading out for a night out after reportedly recruiting six nannies to look after baby Blue Ivy Carter, as well as trademarking her name (just to save BIC biros from cashing in). It was a big night out so they might have even needed a few extra babysitters; the new dad was performing as the first ever rapper at Carnegie Hall. He's got 99 problems but too much of a high pitch ain't one - boom!

Didn't he retire?

Just look at this list. Jay had Ashanti, Damaris Lewis, Jahlil Beats, Questlove, Spike Lee and Warren Buffett all turn up to help him open up his old club. Fine, Warren Buffett is white, but he's only there as Jay-Z's token white billionaire friend.

Beyonce gives birth to a baby called Ivy Blue Carter

According to various US reports, Beyonce gave birth to Ivy Blue Carter in New York last night, while various celebs (ones who probably actually have the singer's mobile number) have tweeted their congrats, such as Rihanna, who wrote:

"Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih."

Regardless of how much Ivy Blue might resemble a cushion, this news does make us very happy indeed.

We heard this news on the radio, so we're just guessing that the named is spelt 'Blue' rather than 'Blew', which would be a bit weird.

Curiously this has meant several of the winners in one category actually conflict with that of another, however, since it's Christmas and Christianity is the only religion that really matters, everyone (including us) is more than happy to just take what they've been given and pretend the rest don't exist.

GQ Man of the Year party with JayZ, Jesse Pinkman, Don Draper, Dawson Leery & Timberlake

We've looked at the pictorial evidence from the night and can confirm that James Van Der Beek's forehead is now larger than the rest of his body, Aaron Paul is awesome, Jon Hamm is handsome, Natalie Imbruglia is still around, Nicole Scherzinger is still boring, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are still a couple, Lake Bell has a nice bosom, and the Facebook twins aren't as good looking as the man who played them in The Social Network (that bit took some Googling).

Jay-Z named GQ's man of the year, Occupy Wall Street 'inspired' t-shirts back on sale

Anyway, the main Man of the Year is Jay-Z, who, as we all know, recently did the manly thing of impregnating Beyonce. Unfortunately, on the day that the magazine dropped, he was in the papers for apparently doing the not quite so manly thing of cashing-in on the Occupy Wall Street movement with a line of Rocawear t-shirts. No, people, the revolution will not be merchandised.

Although Miranda Kerr was given the task of wearing the $2.5 million Fantasy Treasure Bra on her chest, other models included Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Chanel Iman, Liu Wen, Anne Vyalitsyna and Doutzen Kroes. Meanwhile, in the audience we had Debbie Harry, Cuba Gooding Jr., Tyson Beckford, Maxwell, Donna Karan, Jay Z, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and Adam Levine of Maroon 5, the latter quartet of which also performed on stage alongside the models. Poor ol' Minaj.

Chris Martin talks about his friendship with Jay-Z, says he doesn't understand it

Or at least that's how white man Chris Martin paints it. Apparently him and Jay Zed are the bestest of pals, even though he hasn't the foggiest idea how it happened. Bit rude of him to call Jay a nerd, though. Doesn't really fit in with the otherwise positive spirit of their multi-racial relationship. Classic white man, ruining it for everyone else.
