Directors Guild of America Awards 2012: Aniston loses, Curb Your Enthusiasm wins

Actually, who knew Aniston actually directed a show with Demi Moore last year? Obviously it didn't win (despite being for charity), but Curb's Palestinian Chicken episode did - and that's fine by us.

Stellar performance

Stella McCartney turns on her Xmas lights, Eddy Monsoon, Alexa Chung and Kate Moss watch

To be honest, not everyone looked miserable, it was largely just Alexa Chung. She probably got cornered by Bob Geldof on the way in - he's always a cheery one at Christmas. Elsewhere, there was Kate Moss and her daughter, Sharlene Splithairy, Emma Bunton, Kelly Holmes, Macca and his new bride, Mariella Frostrup and Eddy Monsoon reminding us to set the digibox for Ab Fab on the 25th. Although not to be too massively hopeful about enjoying it - the chance of Chung smiling is probably more likely.

The usual suspects have been out and about wearing expensive dresses in the name of increasing box office receipts this week... As per usual, Michelle Williams looked radiant in a gold structured strapless number with her 'Heath tribute' crop. Similarly shiny examples in metallics were Freida Pinto, Emma Stone, Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson. Meanwhile, Evan Rachel Wood, Zoe Saldana and Camille Belle probably thought all glitters wasn't gold when they all turned up at the same event in similar Gucci numbers (well, it was a Gucci sponsored event).

Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2011: Emma Stone, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston, JLo

We haven't heard of everyone on Glamour's list so can't comment on how correct it is in our entirely objective opinion. They did get lots of celebrity guests though. No idea whose idea it was to invite Emma Stone (on her birthday too!) and not give her a prize. Tight bastards. Also in the house not winning prizes were Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston, Donatella Versace, Debbie Harry and Condoleezza Rice. Bad luck, ladies.

Wanderlust trailer, featuring Jennifer Aniston, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux

While on the one hand it has (an untopless) Jennifer Aniston in it and several unLOLsome slapstick moments in trailer, it also features Ron Donald from the brilliant Party Down (go look it up!), Claire from Six Feet Under and is from the writer/director of Role Models, an actually quite good film. But then again, the last time Paul Rudd and Aniston appeared together it was to make early rom-com The Object of My Affection...

Doesn't all that sparkly stuff on Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift and Eva Longoria make you feel all festive inside? Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves though because florals are still quite dominate on the red carpet, with Alice Eve, Felicity Huffman and Gillain Jacobs all looking elegant in print. Playing it slightly safer in monochrome, we have Evan Rachel Wood, Kim Kardashian, Emma Stone, Margo Stiley and Chloe Moretz, the latter of which also threw the lace trend into her mix. Hey, she's 14-years-old and has a better wardrobe than you - just come to terms with it.

ELLE Women in Hollywood Tribute: Jennifer Aniston & Reese Witherspoon may have some news

Because this was in Los Angeles, it wasn't quite the hen party of harpies it would've been in London - although we're sure Jon Hamm's hosting duties would've brought out a few squeals. We particularly wonder if Jennifer Aniston might have stayed sober because, y'know, she might have some news... Maybe that she ate carbs after 6pm last night. Maybe something else.

Talking to Elle, Aniston revealed:

"I threw a chair at a director. It wasn't my proudest moment. He was treating a script supervisor horrible.

"When the director walked in, I threw a chair at him. I missed, of course. I was like, 'You can't speak to people like that'. I can't tolerate it."

Just a thought, but maybe the director was treating the script supervisor horribly because he'd written a terrible rom-com?

For some reason we're not sure of (but certainly have suspicions about), Jennifer Aniston and her new lover-man Justin Theroux have been photographed by Terry Richardson. As you'll see, Justin is ever-so casually resting his hand on Aniston's breast. In your face, Brad!

This shoot follows a week of boring pictures of them shopping for boring stuff whilst looking quite boring (apparently they've had a 'Brangelina makeover' - ie, bought some black clothes).
