We're not sure - no one's ever sure with old Wackin', but Marion Cotillard is also there and she seems like a trustworthy lady. She remains covered-up (although you can see her breasts here if you like) and plays 'an innocent immigrant woman who is tricked into a life of burlesque and vaudeville until a dazzling magician tries to save her and reunite her with her sister who is being held in the confines of Ellis Island.'

Joaquin Phoenix documentary trailer, we're still confused

So could the worst outcome from the whole debacle, aside from the sexual harassment case against Casey Affleck by a producer on the film, be the documentary itself? Presuambly it's supposed to be a piss-take, spoof style mocumentary, but we still not enitrely sure..

So, unsurprisingly, quite a bunch turned up to the LA premiere of new film Exit Through The Gift Shop.

It might sound unlikely, Joaquin has recently announced his retirement from acting to concentrate on his rap career. The brooding Puerto Rican is better known for his acting roles such as Roman Emperor Commodus in Gladiator and a renegade in Buffalo Soldiers. His biggest success came, however, taking the role of Johnny Cash in Walk the Line, allowing him to showcase his musical talents as well as his acting skills. Sadly, or luckily, depending on how you look at it, the hip hop thing was all a big hoax and was made into the documentary film I'm Still Here.

On Wednesday night the Phoenix roadshow rolled into the salubrious settings of the LIV nightclub in Fontainebleau, Miami. All seemed normal, apart from Phoenix's stage dress of a business suit and tie, hardly the usual attire worn by a member of the hip-hop elite (though to be fair there aren't many of them currently sporting Grizzly Adams beards either). Sadly, a heckler/plant was allowed in and ridiculed Joaquin, leading him to come up with the witty response,

"I've got millions of dollars in my fucking bank account.

The actor-turned-rapper-turned-tramp says that he deliberately ditched his 'sex symbol' look for the tramp chic he is currently rocking.

He said: "People have called me a sex symbol in the past, but it's very much an effort.

"People know me as this kind of thing and in some ways I don't know that this is my look.

"It's been important for me to just do something that's extreme - that really separates me from that public Joaquin Phoenix persona, whatever the fuck that is.
