Joe won the hearts of middle-aged women across the country when he auditioned for the X Factor - all wishing they could take home and mother the vulnerable, baby-faced Geordie lad. However, Joe also had an impressive voice, and after pitch-perfect performances week in-week out, was finally announced as the winner of the talent contest.
Hailing from South Shields, Joe made every man in the UK rage with envy as he formed a strong bond with his neighbour and mentor, Cheryl Cole. Unfortunately for Joe, his debut single - an impeccable cover of Miley Cyrus' 'The Climb' - didn't live up to the usual X Factor standards and was beaten to the Christmas number one by Rage Against The Machine after some big bullies started a nasty internet campaign.
But we're sure that won't stop Joe from following in the footsteps of previous male winners Steve Brookstein, Shayne Ward and Leon Jackson and enjoying a very successful career in the music industry.
