Facing the seemingly not actually that tough challenge of looking decent whilst surrounded by Parisians and $20,000 dresses, we have Cameron Diaz, Alice Dellal, Leigh Lezark, Bar Refaeli, Olivia Palermo, Diane Kruger as well as local girls Vanessa Paradis and Clemence Poesy.

Probably slightly tougher was the conundrum thrown up by the snowy Sundance Film Festival - how do you get away with hiding thermals under red carpet dresses? Kate Bosworth, Cara Delevingne, Kirsten Dunst, Emily Bunt and Lake Bell seemed to managed very well.

Sundance Film Festival 2012: Christina Hendricks, Aaron Paul, Pacey Witter & Hilton

Yes, Paris, we know you did have that one low budget film out a while ago, but you're really not welcome.

Remember a few years ago when Sundance's founder Robert Redford said he didn't like Hilton but couldn't stop her from turning up at the festival? Well, she's been every time since. Her skin is thicker than her mince meat brain.

Elsewhere, Julianne Moore and Lea Michele showed even more front, Rachel McAdams and Jessica Biel went for floor-length silver, Chloe Sevigny and Parker Posey were scarlet ladies (and red with shame), Abigail Breslin gave Chloe Moretz a run for her (pocket) money, Hilary Swank looked swanky in navy, SJP looked nice in floral, Christina Hendricks looked slightly frumpy, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Bosworth looked sophisticated in shirt dresses, Angelina Jolie looked like Angelina Jolie, Rebecca Hall looked elegant in trousers and LeAnn Rimes wore a snuggie.

Kris Jenner says Daniel Craig should apologise to the Kardashians, good luck with that

Now, Jenner doesn't actually feature in the list despite her incredibly powerful ability to spawn Krappy Kids, so we can only assume she was there for the crossiants and to thank whichever power-dressing studio exec it is who's continuing to give her air time, as well as obviously getting attention by talking to the press - not about equality in the work place or anything, but about how mean it was of Daniel Craig to have recently called her klan "fucking idiots".

The usual suspects have been out and about wearing expensive dresses in the name of increasing box office receipts this week... As per usual, Michelle Williams looked radiant in a gold structured strapless number with her 'Heath tribute' crop. Similarly shiny examples in metallics were Freida Pinto, Emma Stone, Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson. Meanwhile, Evan Rachel Wood, Zoe Saldana and Camille Belle probably thought all glitters wasn't gold when they all turned up at the same event in similar Gucci numbers (well, it was a Gucci sponsored event).

LACMA intolerant

Everyone in Hollywood goes to the LACMA party to honour Clint Eastwood & John Baldessari

As well as honouring Baldessari, the LACMA paid tribute to Clint Eastwood. We're not completely sure what the whole event was about but it was held at a museum, so probably something to do with fundraising - look, all the girls above bought their purses except for Evan Rachel Wood. Crafty Evan, there's no persuading her to hand over her cash. Not when she's got it hidden in her knickers.

The Future's not that bright, even if it's Orange Wednesday

Film release round-up: Straw Dogs, The Future and Human Centipede 2 now in cinema

The Human Centipede 2 has very limited release, but that's okay because you probably didn't want to see it anyway. So what about something else, like Straw Dogs, which has that nice young Alexander Skarsgard in it? Oh, except he's a rapist in it. A big angry rapist. The remake of Sam Peckinpah's 1971 flick moves from Cornwall to Mississippi and sees Bosworth take on her first role we're actually interested in (we're thinking Funny Games). Horribly tense, but the other alternative is...

The red carpet has been rolling through many occasions this week - the Q Awards, for instance, brought out Jessie J in a unitard while the Hollywood Awards had Michelle Williams in a Nina Ricci gown. The latter obviously wins, but kudos to the former for her speedy fringe-growning out skills.

Meanwhile, over on the equally fragrant (hotdogs, chou-chou nuts and teenage sweat) paving slabs of London's Oxford Street, we had Tulisa flogging her scent The Female Boss in the Perfume Shop, dressed up as the Perfume Shop. She might not ever get a Burberry campaign, but we do wish Christopher Bailey would donate her a trench because that dress thing is not nice at all.

Can-you do DeNiro?

Keanu Reeves, Chloe Moretz and others recreate Martin Scorsese scenes for Harpers Bazaar

So, we've got the awesome (in Kick Ass) but probably quite precocious Chloe Moretz playing Jodie Foster as a child prostitute and Keanu Reeves playing Robert DeNiro as a meathead mentalist. We're a total Kenuwee head, but why Harper's thought the Bill and Ted actor was suitable for the part is beyond us - look at his little face.
