The 22-year-old blonde from LA is the latest artist to emerge from the US and make her mark on the UK music scene, joining the other pop princesses GaGa, Perry, Cyrus and Swift. Her debut single, 'Tik Tok', went straight into the top ten - probably helped by the fact that it was never fucking off Radio 1. The song itself was interesting to say the least, written about a night out (or as Ke$ha described it: "tearing it down" with her friends) where she arose the next morning feeling like P Diddy - as you do.

The best story about Ke$ha is the time when, on deciding she wanted Prince to produce her music, she broke into his home in an attempt to alert him of her existence. Despite leaving a demo with him, she was quickly thrown out and hasn't been contacted since (we wonder why). Maybe a nice, polite email will do the trick next time, eh Ke$ha?
