Grown in a pod by Blue Peter producers, Huq had her first appearance on the show singing age 14 and went on to be its longest serving female presenter from 1997 until 2008. She is smart - with a Cambridge economics degree, talented - in BP she flew a plane and sang on stage, and attractive - there are certain corners of the internet dedicated to cataloging any double entendres she has uttered and any footage of her in a bikini. In 2010 she presented the Xtra Factor and married Charlie Brooker. Why? Why? Why? On the Xtra Factor she managed to sound condescending and stupid at the same time and go from being a popular Blue Peter presenter to the most irritating presenter on the television.
