Lady Gaga has become the bench mark for modern female pop stars. With everyone wanting to be the 'new Lady Gaga' it's easy to forget her first single was only released in the UK in late 2008. Everyone else pales in comparison to her. If anyone does anything slightly odd now everyone just thinks, meh, Lady Gaga wore a dress made of MEAT to the VMAs. Saying that, there is the question of whether her music lives up to her eight minute epic music videos and all her attention seeking which is frankly getting a little dull. Her Telephone video was awesome and definitely dispelled all rumours of her being a hermaphrodite .
