As Avid Merrion, Leigh's pervy stalker shtick was funny for a few months a few years ago. TV series Bo' Selecta was based around mocking Craig David, which we have to admit never gets funny. With a biro'd-on goatee and a kestrel on his shoulder, ginger Francis's take on pop culture is skewed and it is hard to tell how much of his real personality is reflected in his characters, notably in his depiction of unhinged northern wally Keith Lemon.
