Elsewhere, Julianne Moore and Lea Michele showed even more front, Rachel McAdams and Jessica Biel went for floor-length silver, Chloe Sevigny and Parker Posey were scarlet ladies (and red with shame), Abigail Breslin gave Chloe Moretz a run for her (pocket) money, Hilary Swank looked swanky in navy, SJP looked nice in floral, Christina Hendricks looked slightly frumpy, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Bosworth looked sophisticated in shirt dresses, Angelina Jolie looked like Angelina Jolie, Rebecca Hall looked elegant in trousers and LeAnn Rimes wore a snuggie.

Global Angel Awards, featuring Joss Stone, Jodie Marsh, Lizzie Cundy & the Bedingfields

We're obviously not going to risk going to hell by saying anything remotely negative about this very worthwhile charity event, so, erm, let's just look at the dinner menu instead... Hmmm, lamb as the main? We know that Leona Lewis, Jodie Marsh and Joss Stone are vegetarians, so we do hope they were offered a suitable substitute. Does anyone really want to see a tart at this kind of event? No! Still, at least Bear Grylls was there, we know he'll chow down anything - guanaja chocolate cake, rocket salad, Lizzie Cundy's toe...

All the pictures from the Michael Jackson tribute concert, including CRAIG DAVID!

Who better to lead the pack in paying tribute to Michael Jackson than his favourite artist, and one of the defining popstars of our generation, Craig David?

He wasn't the only megastar on offer either.

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke did a little song (and looked a little odd intruding on a Jackson family photo), X Factor runners-up JLS performed Blame It On The Boogie with three fifths of the original Jackson 5 and another X Factor winner Leona Lewis belted out I'll Be There. You always forget that X Factor was Michael Jackson's favourite reality television programme.

Leona Lewis says some singers are too sexual, denounces pole dancers

Take Rihanna for example. Most of the time she looks like she's ready to rub herself up against anything with an edge, all the time chattering on about whatever bonkers thoughts enter her weirdly shaped bonce. She even uses the word 'cunt' sometimes. Whereas Leona, while she may sing like an angel and look like one of those escorts who pretend they're not escorts, seems to be happier at home with a cup of lukewarm milk watching re-runs of Shortland Street than she is en-stage.

GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2011: red carpet arrivals, winners and Abbey Clancy's knickers

Obviously women dominated the red carpet at the man-themed event, with Abbey Clancy and Holly Valance competing over underwear exposure (Clancy won). Lara Stone actually won a Man of the Year award, which is a bit weird - what are GQ trying to tell us? David Walliams is currently swimming through sewage (not a euphemism for the red carpet) so couldn't attend, but there were a few other couples - Jamie Cullum and Sophie Dahl, Kelly Brook and that guy, Daisy Lowe and Matt Smith, the latter of which picked up a prize for Best Dressed.

Olivia Wilde instantly earns fashion credentials because she has a really quite touching article in this month's Vogue. We'd have waggled our pen accusingly at the sub-team, however, since the actress actually comes from a family of journalists (proper journalists), we reckon it's all her work - unless she got her mum to do her homework. Anyway, the dress she wore to The Change-Up premiere in LA this week is from Antonio Berardi's 'Pre-Fall 2011 collection', while her pumps (that means heels, not plimsolls, idiots) are Brian Atwood...
