Had we been there though, we most certainly would've made a drunken nuisance out of ourselves over Sophie Habibis who, despite wearing a dress that makes it look like she's being swallowed by a massive goldfish, managed to look utterly lovely. Ah.

Judging by the pics, winners Little Mix either weren't there or came and went too quickly for photographers to notice. But as they revealed to us in our video interview, they're teetotal so it wouldn't have been much fun. And hey, Tulisa, they're our little muffins now. (Not in that way).

X Factor 2011: We meet winners Little Mix and try and get a word in edgeways

The girls had only had two hours sleep and had been on promo duties all day. However, they had been on a constant diet of E-numbers, sugar and energy drinks and so… well, imagine if four springs could talk. We never got round to asking them any proper questions about The X Factor or their plans for the future. So this is mostly just them doing some silly accents, giggling a lot and trying to blag free clothes and Nandos. It’s our favourite interview of the series.

X Factor 2011: Little Mix win, Gary wants Louis out, show still not 'fixed'

According to one report, Little Mix's win has left them with a street value of around £8 million. Surprisingly this number wasn't put on their heads by the music industry, but by a hugely overexcited orgy of UK marketing execs, all of whom are currently frothing at the wallet just thinking about the possibilities a group of Northern female teenager singers will open up in the frozen prawn ring, shiny trainer and personalised tampon markets. And CDs of course. They'll also sell lots of those.

“I was just browsing the upcoming releases and spotted it. I assumed it was something that would allow you to buy the single of whoever went on to win.

“But the only option was to buy Amelia Lily’s song. There was no option for Marcus or Little Mix. I had to wonder if the store somehow know the result.”

X Factor 2011: Misha B out, Tulisa and Amelia Lily have a cry

Tears on the X Factor semi-final, the majority of them not even from the loser or her mentor; Misha B was booted off after a sing off with Amelia Lily. Because Tulisa previously sullied the constant's character by accusing her of being a bully, she played the martyr, bravely sniffing and taking responsibility, while Misha herself declared that Rowland was the best mentor ever, hinting at the fact that Destiny's Child might possibly be more experienced than N-Dubz.

Unbelievable that two such extraordinary things could happen on the same show, but they did. Many reactionary journalists have speculated that the swearword written on the Bajan singer's shoe was meant as a huge middle finger up to the establishment, while many other less reactionary celebrity writers think that it was more likely to be a run-of the-mill attempt at attention seeking by a star whose recent publicity stunts are making her seem increasingly desperate.

X Factor 2011: The Risk and Johnny Robinson lose out in a double elimination

The Risk and Johnny Robinson were the acts voted off last night's show. Robinson left because Louis, who's Robinson and Kitty Brucknell's mentor, thought Kitty had more chance of getting a recording contract, so booted Robinson off. Then cried about it. The Risk, on the other hand, were voted off without a second thought, something about a lineup change and a Baptiste. Louis didn't cry about this.
