Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony to divorce after seven years of marriage

This split is a strange one. Out of all the married couples in Hollywood, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony would have featured nearer the bottom of any list predicting divorce (y'know, because there's loads of those lists going about). We never thought either of them to be very convincing actors, but they've done an impressive job of keeping any problems underwraps. Only a few weeks ago they were on chat show going on and on about how they "love each other more than anything".

Still, it's a better outfit than Lady Gaga's, who in this pic looks like Anna Wintour on crack. Thank god for Lily Allen and Sarah Owen, who at the Manchester launch of Lucy in Disguise looked as though Gaga and Rihanna might after a Snog, Marry, Avoid makeunder.

Jennifer Lopez overcome with emotion at surprise party

Ricky Martin wasn't the only guest, as we hear Madonna and Rihanna also surprised Lopez. But she surprised them by reportedly having their mobile phones and any cameras confiscated before they were allowed in.

Husband Anthony threw the bash, 'A Night for Lola', at the Edison Ballroom in NYC. But for someone who has just been thrown a surprise party, J-Lo just happened to have had her hair and make-up done immaculately and just threw on that white gown. And those three outfits she changed into during the bash was just a coincidence too...

Happy birthday J-Lo!

Slimy salsa star Lopez is only known in the UK for being married to J-Lo and being the father of her twins. However. In the US he's sold quite a few record pedalling his cheesy Latin wares. His most recent album includes a duet with Lopez, helping him gain more attention and her to bolster her failing music career. Rat-faced 'playas' worldwide can look to Marc and know there is hope.

Jennifer Lopez praises her husband's parenting skills

Despite the fact he appears to be a vampire, Jennifer insists that Marc is brilliant with their children, even getting up in the middle of the night to look after the pair, though surely he's up anyway - that's when his powers are at their strongest?

"I can ask him to get up in the middle of the night if one of the kids wakes up. Every single time he's say OK. That's a huge thing. If you have a partner who doesn't think it's their job... then that's really hard."

A lesson to all new fathers out there.

No-one is sure whether Marc is a vampire or a disinterred mummy, but either way it looks like he can get rather shouty with his fists and J-Lo isn't behind the door with her Latin temper and potentially-lethal arse (when she walks backwards a siren sounds warning 'this vehicle is reversing'). Many thought that the only way to leave Marc Anthony was to hammer a stake through his withered heart and wait for him to dissolve into dust, but it appears Jennifer is going down the more traditional route of spending the GNP of a small nation in lawyers' fees. But why wait until February if they've already made their minds up? The newspaper says,

"Marc and Jennifer are planning on announcing their divorce right after Marc's show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14. Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet.
