The Aussie actor cracked into the hearts of audiences everywhere in his bare-bummed role as Sir William Wallace in "Braveheart". The Scottish accent put him on the map despite his previous success in films such a s Forever Young and Mad Max. After his massive success, Mel then decided to stomp all over it in 2006 by threatening a police officer and offending Jews on being arrested for drink driving. Mel is reported to have been outraged saying, "My life is fucked", and adding, "Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world". Bad times. His wife of 26 years recently filed for divorce and is seeking up to $320million in settlement. All because Mel was boning a Russian hooker singer, Oksana Grigorieva, who he split up with in 2010. They now both have restraining orders against each other. 2010 wasn't a good year for Gibson as he shown to be a racist, misogynist, anti-semite and possibly a wife beater. His next film, The Beaver, is due to be released later in 2011.
