It seems like Morgan Freeman has been the old, calm, sagely words of advice for as long as anyone can remember. Even when he was young he was old and sagely. Due to this, he often plays the guy who has been around for too long in films such as Se7en, Lucky Number Slevin, Shawshank Redemption and Batman Begins.
He was deemed the perfect person to play the president in Deep Impact before he was promoted to God in Bruce Almighty and Evan Almight. Not even the most feverent racist argued with this casting.
He is showing no signs of slowing down, playing Nelson Mandela in Invcitus and shooting the final chapter of Christopher Nolan's Batman series: The Dark Knight Rises, where he will play Lucius Fox, a old calm sagely member of Wayne Corporation
