Except for Pete, that is. If anything, he's the one feeling like the victim after Amy Winehouse's ghost recently haunted him so badly he was forced to live in Paris. Poor bastard. Still, it's not all bad news, as according to The Sun the filthy-toothed musician has been buying antique crack pipes at a local market to cheer him up.

Pete Doherty being haunted by Amy Winehouse's spirit, ghost not booze

Talking to The Sun, a 'pal' of Doherty revealed that the singer has fled to Paris because he says the ghost of Amy Winehouse is haunting his London flat, explaining:

"He is utterly convinced that he has seen her ghost."

"A lot of people will think his visions are probably drug-induced but he claims he is clean."

Yeah, cleaner than the upturned mop he mistook for poor ol' Wino.

Every time we see pictures of Guy Garvey belting his heart out on stage we start to wish we were there. The same can't be said for Gerard Way and My Chemical Romance, however, who for some unfathomable reason were joined on stage by Brian May in Reading on Friday night. We accidentally stumbled into the tent while they were playing at Radio 1's Big Weekend earlier this year and our lives haven't been the same since.

Pete Doherty describes his time in prison as "a rotten old few months"

Anyway, the fact of the matter is, Pete Doherty is OUT. For now. And he wants to make us all feel sorry for him by describing all the trauma and tribulations he went through. Can you believe they refused to give him access to recreational drugs? Absolutely shocking.

So Peter, how does it feel to finally be out of prison after that awful six month sentence? Did it go fast? For us it went by so fast that it felt like you were only in there for two months.

"I can't tell you the sense of relief now I'm finally free to crack on with my life."

Dionne broke her silence on Radio 1’s breakfast show, recounting how Amy had been much better just before her death;

“The last time I saw her she was fine, I think that was the best time I’ve ever seen her…It’s such a shame to know she was at her best moment and three days later she was gone.

“That’s the worst thing. It’s the shock to know someone’s getting better, and she was so much better, then it just hits you like that. It’s really weird.”

Pete Doherty looking at five years for burglary in Germany

The only problem with The Running Man was that Arnhold actually survived at the end, which is not something we'd want to see with our event. Not often, anyway. It's not as unrealistic as you'd think either, after all you can pretty much film whatever you want in the UK and the US if you put the word celebrity before it. Celebrity Murder Gauntlet would sail pass censors, as would Celebrity Killzone 2011 or hopefully Celebrity Razorfight Grenadepunch Between-The-Toes Papercut Extreme. Can you imagine Pete Doherty or Lindsay Lohan outrunning a heavily armoured Sharon Davies on a rocket sled?

Pete Doherty jailed for six months for drug possession

The details (like they matter):

Doherty pleaded guilty to cocaine possession (really? He doesn’t look the type) in an East London court earlier today (May 20) and was sentenced to six months. Fucking A.

His incarceration means he’ll miss a scheduled gig in Scotland tonight. Aw, gutted. He was planning to sing one of his songs in tune at that too.

Still, fantastic news. Though not for the nation’s dealers who’ll be weeping a solitary tear into their baggies tonight.

Album Review: Emily Baker - House Of Cards

If it’s comparisons you’re after then Edie Brickell would be a good starting point. And a good ending point. Emily’s songs possess that same blissfully laid-back, soulful, but upliftingly melodic sensibility, that makes them perfect for this April summer we appear to be having. There’s a fair amount of Carole King detectable too. You can’t go wrong with either, in our book.
