Victoria Louise Lott was given the nickname 'Pixie' by her mother because she was a "tiny, cute baby who looked like a fairy". There's an interesting fact about Pixie Lott. But apart from having a quirky name, she hasn't done anything else of interest.

Pixie was just another name in the long line of female artist who attempted to breakthrough in 2009 (see Little Boots, La Roux, Florence Welch and all of The Saturdays) and she made a momumentally mediocre impact on the music scene. For your typical popstar, she ticks all the boxes: attractive, able to sing... well, she ticks both of the boxes - and that's more than can be said for Little Boots.

Pixie does deserve some credit, however. She has already released two number one singles - both of which were generically good (i.e. catchy as fuck) pop songs. Perhaps she should just think about having a few more nights in in 2010 - we've already seen enough drunken photos of her to last us the year.
