Ricky Gervais is mainly known for (the dance he did in) his role as David Brent in The Office. The cringe worthy boss of a paper merchant struck a chord with most of Britain and has been successful world-wide. Using the formula of arrogant boss with little social skills he later went onto to write and perform in Extras. He hosted the 2010 and 2011 Golden Globes, though he won't be asked back again. Turns out people in Hollywood don't really share his sense of humour. Annoying laugh.
