A slightly different corner

Obviously the least shocking news this week was Ricky Martin coming out as a homosexual gentleman, but it did spur this mole's memory into action...

"There are stories out there that suggests Ricky Martin actually had a thing/fling with Kenny Goss (George Michael's "long-suffering boyfriend") before George did. Rumour underbuilt by George's 1999 lyric: "...and even Ricky Martin's smile is something he can't see..." in his rendition of "My baby just cares for me". Apparently Ricky was living with his then manager at the time."

Grammys 2010: Red Carpet pics

Let's be honest, when the story is about red carpet arrivals and the first picture you see is of Elvis Costello, that should kind of set you up for the monstrosities contained within.

It looks like everyone found their perfect outfit and make up, then spent another hour adding stuff to it or cutting chunks off, because it didn't look unflattering enough.

Jennifer Lopez overcome with emotion at surprise party

Ricky Martin wasn't the only guest, as we hear Madonna and Rihanna also surprised Lopez. But she surprised them by reportedly having their mobile phones and any cameras confiscated before they were allowed in.

Husband Anthony threw the bash, 'A Night for Lola', at the Edison Ballroom in NYC. But for someone who has just been thrown a surprise party, J-Lo just happened to have had her hair and make-up done immaculately and just threw on that white gown. And those three outfits she changed into during the bash was just a coincidence too...

Happy birthday J-Lo!

Are these the first pics of Ricky Martin with his boyfriend?

Rick gave the following quote to Puerto Rico's TV Aqui Magazine

"my heart could belong to a woman or a man."

Pretty ambiguous until you remember this is Ricky Martin we're talking about, quite possibly the gayest looking man on Earth. This guy farts glitter.

Anyway - these pics were taken last year so they may well have split up by now, but the dude being told to walk ten steps behind is also the same dude who's told to do something else behind Ricky.

Anyone know who he is?

Ricky Martin delighted with fatherhood

The lucky magazines selected were the Spanish language versions of People Magazine (presumably called 'Gente' - thanks, Babelfish) and Hello (Hola!) who were given first dibs on pictures of little Valentino and Matteo aged just four months. Ricky is positively glowing with the whole thing, though there's no mention of what happened to the surrogate mother who actually gave birth to the pair. Sorry, they were actually born under the term 'gestational surrogacy', which is a much more pleasant term than 'jam jar and turkey baster'.
