As we've mentioned before, we're not entirely sure what Diane Kruger does other than making us jealous by going out with Pacey Witter and having amazing clothes. She's very good at both vocations, so that's fair enough. We love this 10 Crosby by Derek Lam dress with overlay. Also, it's nice to see a wrist watch, isn't it? Don't let them die out, people - it's your duty.

Also showing some leg, we have Kate Winslet in a classic LBD, Michelle Williams in a Victoria by Victoria Beckham, Rooney Mara and Alexa Chung in Louis Vuitton and Shailene Woodley in Phillip Lim.

'AmFar from sorting out my problems'

amfAR gala kicks off New York Fashion Week: Julianne Moore looks younger than Lohan

As well as Lohan, we have Julianne Moore in Roberto Cavalli, twice Lohan's age, equally red headed, yet one hundred times more beautiful. In fact, the more 'mature' ladies completely trump the juniors, with Sarah Jessica Parker showing the common sense to turn up in a Theyskens Theory jacket over her Oscar de la Renta gown and Heidi Klum (yeah, we know 38 isn't a exactly old) wearing another Cavalli number (AND WEDDING RING). Actually, Cavalli pretty much opened shop for the entire event, with Elizabeth Hurley, Cindy Crawford and Jennifer Hudson also in his frocks.

The week in fashion: HM style round-up, 27 January 2012

Facing the seemingly not actually that tough challenge of looking decent whilst surrounded by Parisians and $20,000 dresses, we have Cameron Diaz, Alice Dellal, Leigh Lezark, Bar Refaeli, Olivia Palermo, Diane Kruger as well as local girls Vanessa Paradis and Clemence Poesy.

Probably slightly tougher was the conundrum thrown up by the snowy Sundance Film Festival - how do you get away with hiding thermals under red carpet dresses? Kate Bosworth, Cara Delevingne, Kirsten Dunst, Emily Bunt and Lake Bell seemed to managed very well.

Elsewhere, Julianne Moore and Lea Michele showed even more front, Rachel McAdams and Jessica Biel went for floor-length silver, Chloe Sevigny and Parker Posey were scarlet ladies (and red with shame), Abigail Breslin gave Chloe Moretz a run for her (pocket) money, Hilary Swank looked swanky in navy, SJP looked nice in floral, Christina Hendricks looked slightly frumpy, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Bosworth looked sophisticated in shirt dresses, Angelina Jolie looked like Angelina Jolie, Rebecca Hall looked elegant in trousers and LeAnn Rimes wore a snuggie.

Anyway, as we keep trying so hard to make you lot realise, it's simply not fair to be so terribly rude about poor old SJP. After all, what's she ever done wrong, aside from creating one of the most vacuous, self-absorbed role models ever? Nothing. Exactly. Plus, we're pretty sure she's now at the stage where she's got the celebrity equivalent of 'Police Aware' tape around her, so there's not really much point in being a Nasty Nancy. Also don't forget, she did marry Ferris Bueller, and he was the coolest guy in school.

MoMa, Mo' dresses

SJP, Drew Barrymore, Emma Stone, Blake Lively and many more at MoMa bash

Because the world is largely made up from cheapos not embarrassed to ignore the Museum of Modern Art's suggested donation of $20 and instead hand over a couple of dirty coins, fundraisers are essential. We can't really work out what this one is about - it's something to do with Spanish director Pedro Almodovar we think. We haven't seen the The Skin I Live In yet, so let's just concentrate on the dresses. Sorry, Pedro, it's next on our Love Film list, promise.

As interested as we are in SJP and Hurley's hat-off (the former's is worse that the horror she wears on her wedding day in SatC) at Adelaide's mucker cup, we're more intrigued by the other lady inside a horse...

Jasha Lottin, a 21-year-old nudist from Portland, was recently questioned by Washington County Sheriff's Deputies after she posted pictures of herself naked inside a horse online :-/
