British Fashion Awards 2011: Victoria Beckham and Alexa Chung among night's winners

While VB's prize was something of a surprise (not for her, we doubt she'd have flown over from LA otherwise), there were a few more predictable wins - Sarah 'Pippa Middleton's dress' Burton picked up the coveted Designer of the Year prize for her work for Alexander McQueen, while Alexa Chung won the British Style Award for the second time, the only prize to be voted for by the public. She turned up wearing those cat shoes from Charlotte Olympia, who herself won the Accessories Designer prize.

London Fashion Week: Stella McCartney and McQ coming to the UK capital

While it obviously makes sense for UK brands to show at London Fashion Week, those fickle designer types generally get drawn by the bright lights of Paris, New York and Milan. It makes sense, they've seen the font row here. However, good old Christopher Bailey brought Burberry home last year and now a few other brands are following. Typical Stella, always copying...

London last night: introducing a lady called Precious, plus other celebs

So what else was going on in London last night? Bob Geldof, Bono and Stella McCartney had an evening out at the Covent Garden Hotel, Geri Halliwell, Craig Colton, Marcus Collins and Frankie Cocozza went to watch George Michael at the Royal Albert Hall, Donna Air looked quite nice, Kylie not so much, and Bianca Gascoigne and Lauren Goodger were also at Aura, obviously not being deemed worthy enough of a flashing from Precious.

Paris Fashion Week SS 2012: Stella McCartney

Marking the ten year anniversary of her label, McCartney's spring summer 2012 collection was a fun, fresh, playful and sexy (you could say everything she's not, but we wouldn't because we don't know her). Microscopic dots and block colour on minis with mesh side panels (look familiar?), sporty silky pyjama suits and casual shirt dresses.

Stella McCartney turns 40, Kate Moss steals thunder by looking ever so slightly pregnant

In your face, New York Fashion Week - Tom Ford, Kate Hudson, Paul McCartney, Gwyneth Paltrow (who left with a mug that wasn't Chris Martin), Sharlene Splithairy, Bono and, erm, Jaime Winstone and Alfie Allen (is it 2009 again?) gave it to cold shoulder to instead attend Stella McCartney's 40th birthday party.

She really Knowles how to entertain a crowd

She played a few songs from her new album Beyoncé's 4! plus several well know chart hits by other musicians, such as The Sex, It Is On Fire by The Kings Of Leon and Bohemian Rhapsody by The Freddie Mercuries. Mr HM, fully knowing this and having been a Beyonce fan since before she was born, decided to slip in the stage door dressed as a backup dancer. This is his story...

Stella McCartney Sping 2012 Presentation: Bono, Liv Tyler, and Barry Manilow's secret

Nice garden though, isn't it? Little bit of work needed on the lawn, perhaps. Not that most of the guests would notice however, Naomi Watts is a notoriously terrible gardener and Liv Tyler is colourblind at the bottom of both eyes. Plus, she hates grass. All kinds. Not even a nice warm summer grass. How do we know? We carefully studied the pictures above. Just like Derren Brown. Amazing, eh? Also, 3 o'clock next Tuesday*.

Estelle was there too, but she always looks like she likes a bit of grass. Bahia Bermuda maybe.

Linda McCartney book launch: Not a quorn sausage in sight

The night was hosted by Linda's widow Paul and daughters Mary and Stella, drawing an A-list crowd including Tracey Emin, Twiggy, Lily Cole and Jools Holland, who didn't find time to break into any honky tonk, which is a relief. Also, not a drug metaphor. Nice to see Lulu out and about as well, albeit in an outfit as tight as her face.
