He introduced Britain to his brilliant alter ego Alan Partridge on the Radio 4 programme 'On the Hour'. Irritatingly he should have stopped there. But like so many celebs Coogan was after world domination and broke out into the film world, and proceeded to write The Parole Officer. It wasn't a patch on Partridge but it did get his name heard across the pond. He has been linked with crazy bird Courtney Love who in 2007 said that his legendary drug abuse and private 'demons' (shags too many women) were responsible for the attempted suicide of Owen Wilson.
