Eight Letters is also one of the nicer songs from Progress. We like it ‘cause it sounds like Cliff Richard trying to do electropop. Damn, if only Cliff Richard had tried to do electropop. There’s still time.

Take That release their Progress Live album on November 28. That’ll be nice.

Take That survive plane being struck by lightning, the Greatest Day of our lives

Let's ponder this morbid question for a moment: what would actually happen if Take That died in a horrific plane crash?

It'd be Diana pt. 2, wouldn't it? In fact, it would probably be Diana pt. 2 multiplied by a million. And the population of middle-aged women in the country would drop by at least 50%.

Anyway, they survived, so let's not dwell on that thought any longer. Let's get back to rejoicing and doing the Relight My Fire dance routine. Tell us, Daily Mirror source, how did Take That manage to create such a minor miracle and live to tell the tale?

Take That - Manchester Stadium - June 4, 2011

At the City of Manchester Stadium last weekend, the home crowd welcomes them - and their temperamental robot named Om - with open arms, after a stellar supporting turn from the Pet Shop Boys. That’s one hell of a support band.

Yup - in true rock star fashion, ol' Howard was left plonked on top of a hand for the duration of Never Forget at ver lads recent Manchester gig.

Robbie Williams injects himself with testosterone to stop him feeling sleepy. hhhmmmm...

Testosterone, helpfully called a sex hormone by The Sun, was used after Robbie asked his doctor for Human Growth Hormone, something people in LA use when they realise they caned it too much in their 30s and don't want skin with the elasticity of play dough. During tests, Robbie was found to have low levels of Testosterone, so obviously opted to get a load of that whacked in too.

All the pictures from the first night of Take That's Progress tour - it looks amazing

Gary, Mark, Howard and the other one kicked off the show with their post-Robbie hits - Rule The World, Patience, Greatest Day and Shine - before the man himself was carried on on a glass chariot for an ego-stroking set of his solo work. He shouted:

"20 years in the making, 15 years in the waiting, five years deliberating. Ladies and gentlemen, the Take That show.

I'm so proud to be a part of it all again."

National Movie Awards: Eliza Doolittle wears very little

Having said that, we still went along to see what the fuss was about, and managed to get told off by Katie Waissel and ignored by Geoffrey Rush. All in a day's work here at HM. Our stunning video of the event is here, but for those of you who couldn't give two hoots about what the attendees were like in real life, we've also stuck up this delightful gallery.
