Tom Hardy is an actor. He normally plays a tough guy in films because he is a tough guy in real life. Probably. He's been in Rocknrolla, Band of Brothers, Inception and Bronson. In Bronson he played a character who would happily kill you just for shits and giggles, while his role is Inception was tough British guy. See? Tough guy. 

We don't think Tom's a brutal killer in real life, but we can't be sure. He's certainly never killed anyone we know at any rate. Yet.

As a young man Tom, like the majority of the HM editorial team, was involved in smoking crack cocaine and drinking alchohol to excess. Luckily, he's off all that stuff now, and hasn't touched a crack rock or sipped on a Fosters shandy since 2003. Hopefully he keeps it up, because these things are a bugger to edit.

Most recently, Tom has been cast as Bane in the new Batman Film, Dark Knight Rises. Unfortunately, this is probably going to make any double X's out there (yes, we know it's the most stupid way of describing women ever) fancy him even more than they already do. Which is a lot.
