Hailing from Bow, Wiley (or as he was known at the time WileyKat (after Thundercats) was around in the UK Garage scene as a part of Pay As U Go Cartel. When the wheels fell off Garage music, Wiley moved into making Grime music (you know, the one with Dizzee Rascal and that), with his own signature Eskimo style.

He was signed to XL, the same label as Dizzee Rascal, and released his debut album Treadin' On Thin Ice, which done moderately well.
In true Wiley style, he walked out of his deal with XL and floated around the grime scene.

He once again attacked the charts with his Wearing My Rolex song, after some disappointing work with Mark Ronson on Cash in My Pocket and the release of See Clear Now, Wiley left his record deal (again) and went back into the underground to make some more of the music that he wanted to (with the unnessessarily overuse of a autotuner).
