While traditionally fashion and music ever-so-slightly come together, the fact that the Brit Awards and London Fashion Week clash in schedule causes a bit of a divide. For a while we could rely on Alexa Chung to bridge the gap, although her split with Alex Turner saw the end of that - CHEERS, CHUNG! We would've happily given the duty to Nicola Roberts, but she didn't turn up either :( Still, who needs trends when you can have full on eye-catching gimmick? Yep, that would be Geri Halliwell in her Union Jack flag, Lady Gaga in her toilet roll cover or Kylie with Justin Timberlake hanging off her arse.

So, who do we have this year? Well, in terms of the red carpet, it's a little - dare we - mild... Crikey, even Paloma Faith looks demure... Sure, Rihanna's got an embellished Givenchy number, Florence Welch has an Alexander McQueen gown and even slave-to-Lipsy Pixie Lott was allowed Dolce and Gabbana for the evening, but elsewhere it's a bit blaah. Maybe that means it will actually be a good year for music? You'll have to see the winners list for confirmation of that.
