Someone Like Her
Fri, 27/05/2011 - 14:25 by John Hill

You've got to give it to her, despite using the most unimaginative process possible for naming her albums, Adele has done pretty well for herself. We say 'despite' like one of the major hallmarks of a classic record is a clever name. But that's not true is it, Oasis fans*?

*If it wasn't for a certain member of HM, this was going to be a lot ruder. And more accurate.

Anyway, as well as selling more albums than she's had hot dinners, Adele's now also been pronounced the most influential person in British music by The Guardian, in their Music Power 100 list, a list that estimates an artist's power in the industry via a myriad of clever algorhythms and one that (heartbreakingly) excludes classical, jazz and folk musicians. However, it does include N-Dubz, which either means somebody's forgot to carry the one somewhere, or Dappy is a lot smarter than he looks, acts and is biologically capable of being.
