Alexa Chung just won't shut up about how wonderful she is, and how apparently she's woefully misunderstood, and is in fact quite charming if you're not american, or a photographer, or a reasonable weight, or if you have eyes or ears. So maybe we should just let Alexa speak for herself? Surely she's not going to say anything to cement everyone's opinions that she's just a talentless, spoiled child is she?

Of course she is. Here's a couple of snippets from her recent chat with The Observer:

On her look:

"I wanted to look like I was in the circus"

On her weight:

"I'm just really conscious that people are staring at me. I get called chicken legs a lot, that's the main one,"

On her sense of humour:

"My friend was telling me how he was doing this best man's speech in New York to a crowd of Americans and there was only about 20 Brits there and how he like fell on his arse doing a joke about a 'fanny pack' and I was, like, 'Imagine doing that, but every day for six months' and that's sort of how I felt."

On making money from having no discernible talent, and how angry it makes her that people keep on employing her:

"Yeah, it's [fame] ridiculous. It's just so silly and it makes people behave in such a weird way, I'm not 100% nice all the time, so I find it quite hard to be really pleasant. Please don't turn this into a big moany diatribe, but sometimes you've just got really fucking bad period pain or I just had root canal on Friday and someone's like, 'Can I have a picture?' 'Do you know what? No. Why would you want that?'"

On being a role model/idiot:

"I'm not preaching about things you should do, I'm not political or anything. I'm probably not the best role model."

Well, that's certainly changed my opinion, how about you?
