Concerns are mounting for Ashley Cole's fragile mental health, since his separation from Cheryl Cole and isolation in a French clinic for his broken ankle, reportedly going without a shag shave for over a week. So a psychologist is being flown over to check on his well-being and current state of mind, but however much Chelsea try to spin it, we're more likely to start a Mark Croft fan club than ever feel sorry for him...

It's being claimed that Cole has been depressed and miserable (maybe because his wife has just left him?) letting himself go and refusing to shave or wash for a week.

But apparently he promptly cut his beard and trimmed his hair when he heard Roman Abromavich was sending a psychologist over. Perhaps he's so delirious with grief that he thought the psychologist was going to arrive looking like this...

Meanwhile, Cheryl is on her way to Denmark to perform on the country's equivalent of the 'X Factor', and is rumoured to be stopping off in France for fifteen minutes of 'crunch' talks with Cole on her way back.

Let's hope he makes as much as an effort for her as he does the psychologist. Although he doesn't have to go too overboard ^...
