Getting ready for the Col's Speech

As you'll recall from the BAFTA 2011 nominations list, we're in for a long-ish night, although eager beavers have already descended on the red carpet outside Covent Garden's Royal Opera House... 

We're going to be updating our gallery as we go but so far the only grown-ups are Tom Ford and Julianne Moore. They look a bit out of place outside Bella Italia. Moving just a little further down the food chain, we've got Sarah Harding and Rachel Stevens... Thandie Newton's also in the house - it's not a BAFTA ceremony without her, is it? Bet she's wheeled out as some kind of inexplicable British acting institution by at least the third award category.

 

UPDATE: the A-listers are in! Nice one, Jessica Alba, you've scrubbed up well, Eva Green too - and Jennifer Lawrence is keen to get noticed, isn't she? Meanwhile Tracey Emin gives her verdict on Emma Watson's dress (pic 27). It's alright, she's hungover.

 

FYI, it's just as well that Sam Taylor Wood is out tonight (pic 9) - The-not-actually-that-old-film Shanghai Knights is on BBC2 right now featuring her boyfriend as a toddler. Creepy. Still, we're now thinking that he might win the Orange Rising Star prize instead of Andrew Garfield... We'll give you the winners as soon as they're in.
