It's been a while since we had the opportunity to write about Dame Beverley Knight so our frozen hearts leapt when we read of how her life was changed by some gays touching her up. Maybe it's a new miracle cure, like those fish that eat the skanky bits off your feet

Ms Knight (MBE) tells the latest edition of SHE magazine what happened when she went dancing at gay bar:

"Gay guys were coming up to me and running their hands down my legs! I wasn't used to getting attention for how I looked; I was used to getting it for my voice. And that's when it hit me - hard. I'm not just a singer, I'm a woman... I had a bit of a cry. Quite a big cry, actually. No one else had ever told me I was beautiful. I never saw myself in those terms. But that night, it was like a switch had been flicked."

How beautiful. A friend of ours got felt up in a gay club once and nearly decked the fella. But we guess it's a case of different strokes for different folks.

Beverley also reveals how she's jealous of today's young pop starlets:

"I look at Pixie Lott or The Saturdays, young girls who have real self-belief and look beautiful, and I think, 'I wish I'd had that confidence earlier.' I feel as if I missed out on a lot of fun in my twenties, but hey, I'm having it now!"

They're an inspiration to us all...
