Katy Perry announces the 2009 Grammy nominees
Oh Grammy!
Thu, 03/12/2009 - 11:53 by Mr. HMThe Grammy nominations were announced yesterday. They are a bit like The Brits, except instead of being held at the Roundhouse in Camden by Fearne Cotton they get a full on LA gig with Katy Perry and the Jonas Brothers.
Katy Perry did her usual schtick of DON'T TALK ABOUT MY TITS / PLEASE LOOK AT MY TITS and Beyonce didn't even bother turning up to hear that she'd got a massive 10 nominations. Other than that there were performances from the weird Jonas Brothers.
There's no need for us Brits to get downbeat though - we are MASSIVELY represented by *looks at sheet of paper* erm, the Ting Tings! *punches fist in air* Eric Calpton *holds hand up for high five, ignored* and erm Steve Winwood *tumbleweed*.
Only kidding - The Pet Shop boys, Depeche Mose and Coldplay are also in the mix.
Full list below, but before you get to that, let's analyse the pics. OK so who replaced Smokey Robinson with a wax robot? Who the fuck dresses the Black Eyed Peas like 11 year olds in H&M? I mean, Fergie is a day if she's 60 surely? Speaking of people dressing too young for their age - Ringo Starr, have a word with yourself mate.

In the field of music industry, many posses awesome talent that's why they have given a chance to be awarded through Grammy Awards. I knew Beyonce was going to feature heavily on the Grammy winners 2010 list, but not a 6 award haul. Honestly, I bet Lady Gaga to win few more awards since she really did well lately. Some things were sort of predictable, but good thing I didn't put any money on who would win, because I probably would have ended up losing a payday loans worth or so.
Shithole of popular music. Yet, America has some cracking bands, but this lot of detritus somehow floats to the top of the cistern. Great
Depeche Mose??
Katy Perry looks like Fat Nat of Strictly Cum Dancing / EastEnders
As for the award nominations, point of order, but someone appears to have mentioned Green Day in the same orbit as 'Rock'.
I assume there was no category for smug pantomime artists who suck and should be destroyed?
The tranny shoes go well with her wrestler's legs though.
looking at those pics, one would be forgiven for thinking that popular music was in a perilous state.
What exercise is it you have to do to get your neck to become as wide as your head? Really loving the look.
Sorry, thought this was Closer magazine for a moment there.
Crikey Moses, that dress does Katy's boobs no favours.
