Ex Big Brother contestant Channelle Hayes was rushed to hospital last night after taking an overdose following an argument with her boyfriend.

After the row with her boyfriend (Middlesbrough footballer Matt Bates), Chanelle necked a shitload of paracetamol and red wine then, as this was a girly cry for help rather than a grown up suicide attempt, legged it straight to the hospital.

A source told The Sun:
"Chanelle had been having boyfriend troubles with Matt. They had been arguing a lot.

"She took the paracetamol and red wine out of frustration at how badly things were going. She was in a terrible way."

Whatever the outcome of this (Massive hangover, Interview in Heat magazine) it's clear that Channelle has proved further that she's ideal girlfriend material.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if Matt doesn't whisk her down the isle within a matter of days - There's nothing a man finds more attractive in a woman than constant clinginess, complete inability to give anything in their lives a bit of fucking perspective and the threat of an overdose hanging over every argument. It's a real turn on. Especially when they've already been fucked ragged by Calum Best - yum!

Edit: Chanelle is now back home in Wakefield. Her agent (she has an agent?) has said:

Chanelle is a very sensitive girl who wears her heart on her sleeve, she has been experiencing some personal problems with a relationship and obviously struggled to cope.
