God, you know things are bad when you're considering putting Sophie Ellis Bextor and her prom dress in your 'best dressed' gallery, but we think the above, like, total OMG fashion moment best represented the lack of originality on the Brit Award red carpet when it came to style this year... 

But if we had to choose, Emma Willis definitely wore that lace frock best... Sorry, Caroline Flack...

As far as the best dressed at the Brits went, it was fairly slim pickings - Cheryl Cole couldn't go in the 'good' section because she was showing tramp stamp, but there were worst... Actually, the fashion wasn't so much bad as just really, really boring. Fair enough, maybe Liz McClarnon really did have to come straight from work - who knows what she's up to these days - at least she might win 'best dressed temp of the week'. Anyway, here's our edit:

BEST DRESSED:

• Régine Chassagne and Win Butler - maybe it's because we like Boardwalk Empire
• Yasmin - we don't actually really know who she is, but now we want to - classy, nice
• Jessie J - Vivienne Westwood plus good pins equals alright with us
• Ellie Goulding - massive improvement on last year (even if her career hasn't gone the same way)
• Rihanna - not her red carpet dress but the one she wore to pick up her prize. James Corden said it looked like a bridesmaid dress, it obv did, but he's a prick and it's a bit of a new direction for her, plus it blew Cheryl off the stage. 

WORST DRESSED:

• Laura Marling and Liz McClarnon are grouped together for their lack of originality. Even if they did arrive straight from the office, ain't they seen the Boots ad?
• Eliza Doolittle - the thought of her sitting down on her skunk tails...
• Lisa Snowdown - who's been pinching from their M&S shoot, eh Lisa?
• Avril Lavigne - just for the hair (and the rest)
• Caprice - nuff said
